1. Cars will be on display on Saturday from 12 noon to 4:00pm;
2. The parade lap will be on Saturday because there is no car show on Sunday.
There is racing both days.
We’ll let folks know once we find out;
3. We’ll be trooping our club colours by setting up our ECSCC and AABMS flags and banners. Will Keith could use some help with this: finding and bringing the flags and banners to the event, and helping to set them up and take them down.
The Edmonton Speedway Revival organizers need to get an idea of how many of our members will be attending so they can plan how much space to allocate us for our display, and to plan for how many of our cars will be going in the track parade. To ensure we have our club name on the list we will need to register. Organization of the cars in your club spot will be up to us.
To participate in the weekend race event you must have licensing and appropriate safety gear as per WCMA.
However they are planning a noon “parade” session with a pace car, there will be no licensing or safety gear other than a helmet required. They will probably run two run groups “fast and moderate” based on cars entered.
Club displays are free but each car entered in the display pays the 15$ fee, same as anyone individually entering the car show. Having a club entry allows them to allocate space for the number of cars in the display and keep everyone together.
Pay at the gate, they are also accepting food bank donations. Car Show entry fee is for Stars Air Ambulance.When you arrive identify you are with a club display, pay your money, food bank donation, and they will direct you to the location of your club display.
The Following is a request from Edmonton Speedway Park
Can you poll your members and see what cars would be interested in join us and are there any cars with race history? (i.e. other than our “parades” at Edmonton Speedway, back in the day).
We have interest from a Sunbeam Tiger owner in BC that has Speedway Race history and it would be cool to include him with your group.
Also let me know how many members would be participating in the track parade laps (helmet and seat belts required).
