Here is a little taste of what we have been up to in the last year.
Crossing Run 2007
Greetings all, Being novices in the club, Brandi and I have been asked to give a newbie’s account of our Crossing Run experience. Well, now that the carpets have dried out (more on that later), I guess we should get to it. Having never gone on a long trip in the Spitfire since buying it in Okotoks three summers ago, I had Ken give it a clean bill of health before trusting the car with ours. It passed, and in the words of Waylon Jennings, we were ready to straighten the curves and flatten the hills.
UP YOUR HOIST
A big thanks to Scott Lawrence and Harry Ainley School for hosting our
May meeting and Up Your Hoist. We used the staff lounge for the meeting,
then went out to the auto shop where we had the use of the hoists to put
our cars up in the air and have a good look underneath them.

Finally got a lot to report on this month. Our bi-annual AABMM is in and done, and was
a full success.

Thanks to everybody who helped put it on, from the advice from the
previous organizers gave, to the guys who carried signs all over, to ladies doing
registration, to the people who calmed down the old far_ when he couldn’t find Ron
Nichol to meet the “Queen”. ( Ron was four feet away, but had changed from his grubs to
a black suit, so thus was unrecognizable). Even the weatherman held off the rain until 5
o’clock, and the event finished at 4.
